AI Qualification
Qualification is how VRsion 1 AI tells you whether a prospect is worth pursuing, and why.
How to qualify a prospect
Open a prospect and click Qualify (or Re-qualify if it's already been qualified before). This runs a real AI call and produces a new qualification snapshot — it never overwrites a previous one, so you always have a history.
Only owners and admins can qualify prospects.
What qualification produces
| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| Fit | Strong fit / Medium fit / Weak fit / Disqualified |
| Score | A number out of 100 |
| Qualification summary | A plain-language explanation of the fit |
| Outreach angle | A suggested angle for approaching this prospect |
| Reasons | Specific factors supporting the fit assessment |
| Risks | Specific factors that could work against this prospect being a good fit |
| Recommended offer | Which of your Offers best matches this prospect |
| Likely buyer | The buyer role from your ICP most likely to be the right contact |
Deterministic scoring vs. AI explanation
It's important to understand these are two different things working together:
- The fit score is computed deterministically — the product compares the prospect's actual industry, country, and company size directly against your Ideal Customer Profiles. The same prospect and the same ICP will always produce the same underlying fit calculation.
- The written explanation (summary, reasons, risks, outreach angle, recommended offer, likely buyer) is generated by a real AI call, using your Business Profile, Offers, ICPs, and the prospect's own data as context.
This means the number is grounded and repeatable, while the prose around it is AI-generated commentary — useful, but not infallible.
AI output is decision support, not guaranteed truth
Human review remains required. Treat the qualification summary, reasons, risks, and recommendations as a well-informed first opinion, not a verified fact. Before acting on a qualification:
- Does the recommended offer actually make sense for this prospect?
- Do the stated reasons hold up against what you actually know about this company?
- Are there risks you know about that the AI didn't have visibility into?
If a qualification looks wrong, you can simply re-qualify (e.g. after correcting the prospect's industry/country/company size, or updating your Business Profile/ICP), or proceed with your own judgment overriding the AI's.
Qualification freshness
A qualification can become Stale if enough time has passed, or if your Business Profile, Offers, or ICPs have changed since it was last run. The prospect detail page and Sales pipeline both surface staleness so you know when a re-qualification is worth doing before you generate an outreach draft from it.
What's next
Once a prospect is qualified and not disqualified, and has a contact email on file, you can move to Outreach Drafts.
